Click Image to take you to YouTube Channel
While heeling, the team makes a 180° about turn to the handler’s right. This sign may be used more than once on a course. *Note – when teaching this and in order to be consistent with all turns and also pivots, this should be a tight turn.
Teaching and building DESIRE on the Rally #7 Right About Turn
While heeling toward the sign, make a 180° about turn to the right in front of the sign and then continue forward without stopping. The about turn should be performed by the handler in place with the dog staying in heel position and traveling the greater distance as it turns with the handler. Remember to add in OWF as well as DIG training during your training as well as randomly throughout your dog’s career.
